Just in time for its premiere, OCN’s newest original drama Train has dropped fresh still cuts of its lead star Yoon Shi-yoon!
Described as a parallel-universe mystery, Train tells the story of Seo Do-won (Yoon Shi-yoon, Psychopath Diary), a relentless detective whose world turns upside down when the woman he loves becomes the latest victim of an unidentified serial killer. He soon finds out about another world where everyone he knows, including himself, are also present. After discovering that his lover’s doppelgänger is still alive in that place, he vows to never let her be harmed while he tracks down her counterpart’s murderer in the other.
In the released visuals for the series, Seo Do-won is shown to have flashed his searchlight on something that is terrible enough to paint his face with disbelief. Adding weight to that inference are the two other photos where he is knocked down on the railroad tracks with one side of his head dripping with blood. Barely conscious, he struggles to catch sight of his assailant in the dark night. The stills may indeed raise questions such as “What is Do-won looking for in Mugyeong Station?” and “Who is the culprit behind the ruthless attack?” With its nearing broadcast, the viewers will no longer have to wait for long to find out.
The gripping scenes were filmed at Yeongju Station in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang, in cooperation with the Gyeongbuk Headquarters of the South Korea railway lines. With the help of the said headquarters, the cast and crew were able to successfully shoot at a closed-out or restricted train station.
The production team for the drama shared, “Yoon Shi-yoon is displaying an incredible transformation into Seo Do-won, a detective who is fearlessly tracking down a vicious criminal with all his might. Please follow through Do-won’s journey towards uncovering the truth.”
Train is helmed by director Ryu Seung-jin of the tvN Drama Stage: Everyone Is There (2020) and penned by screenwriter Park Ga-yeon. It will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. KST starting tonight, July 11!
