Yoon Kye-sang, Go Ah-sung in talks to headline upcoming thriller

Yoon Kye-sang and Go Ah-sung might work in a drama together!

Crime Puzzle is a shocking psychological thriller that begins with the confession of a murder. Han Seung-min, a professor at the National Police Academy, confesses to killing the father of his lover Yoo-hee. The rest of the drama follows the unraveling of this crime. The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name, where a criminal psychologist is arrested for killing an influential politician, and a criminal profiler, who is also his girlfriend, conducts a series of interviews with him to get to the bottom of the truth. The two fall into an intense mind game.

On March 2, Yoon’s agency Just Agent confirmed that the actor is considering appearing in the thriller series as the lead character Professor Han Seung-min. Yoon Kye-sang is a veteran actor acclaimed for his work in both films and dramas. He is best known for Flying Boys (2004), Who Are You? (2008), Poongsan (2011), and The Outlaws (2017). His most recent drama appearances have been in The Good Wife (2016) and Chocolate (2019–2020).

Later that day, Go Ah-sung’s agency KeyEast also confirmed that the actress had been offered the role of Yoo-hee in the drama and is positively reviewing it. If she accepts the offer, this will be her comeback to dramas. She was last seen in Life on Mars (2018). Go began her career as a child actress, appearing in Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho’s earlier films The Host (2006) and Snowpiercer (2013). She recently headlined the film Samjin Company English Class (2020).

Crime Puzzle will be produced by Studio 329, who also produced the Netflix original teen drama Extracurricular (2020) starring Kim Dong-hee, Jung Da-bin, and Park Ju-hyun.
