Yoon Jong-hoon has been cast to lead the upcoming drama Penthouse, reuniting him with PD Joo Dong-min and actor Bong Tae-gyu, both of whom he has previously worked with in the 2018 series Return.
Penthouse will tell the story of an ambitious woman who is willing to do whatever it takes to realize her dream of moving into a luxury penthouse in the Gangnam District, an achievement deemed by many as the ultimate manifestation of someone’s success in the real estate business. In the process, however, she slowly finds herself turning into a monster.
Yoon Jong-hoon will suit up as Ha Yoon-chul, a part of the major cast of characters in the drama. Following his remarkable portrayal in SBS’s Return, Yoon played other main roles in series such as MBC’s My Healing Love (2018–2019) and JTBC’s Timing (2020). He also appeared as one of the supporting cast members of MBC dramas like Come and Hug Me (2018), Extraordinary You (2019), and Find Me in Your Memory (2020).
Yoon will be joining confirmed cast member Uhm Ki-joon (Heart Surgeons), while Kim So-yeon (Mother of Mine), Eugene (All About My Mom), and Lee Ji-ah (The Ghost Detective) are still reviewing the offers sent out to them.
Penthouse will be penned by screenwriter Kim Soon-ok, who also collaborated with PD Joo in SBS’s The Last Impress in 2018.
