Matin Calme will revolve around the case of a woman found dead in South Korea. The film will be helmed by Denis Dercourt, the director-writer behind the 2006 French thriller film The Page Turner.
Yoo has been roped in to play Park Jin-ho, a Korean detective known for his fluency in English, good looks, and straightforward attitude. To unravel the mystery behind the woman’s death, Jin-ho will work with Alice Lone (Olga Kurylenko), a French forensics professor.
Yoo Yeon-seok made his debut in the industry with a minor role in the 2003 film Oldboy. He then went on a break and resumed taking on projects in 2008.
