Yoo Ji-tae, Lee Bo-young are old lovers reunited in teaser for new drama

tvN’s upcoming romantic melodrama When My Love Blooms (previously called The Most Beautiful Moment in Life) has released a gorgeous new teaser!

Starring Yoo Ji-tae (Different Dreams) and Lee Bo-young (Mother), When My Love Blooms tells the tale of old lovers who reunite in their 40’s. Yoo Ji-tae plays Han Jae-hyun, a successful businessman who chases after wealth and success, while Lee Bo-young plays Yoon Ji-soo, a single mom and contract worker living a difficult life.

In their university days, the two had lived completely opposite lives and still fallen in love with each other. The Han Jae-hyun of the past (played by GOT7’s Park Jin-young) was a passionate student protester, while Yoon Ji-soo (played by Jeon So-nee) came from an affluent background. With their life situations flipped, the two reunite in their 40’s and rekindle past feelings.

The 15-second teaser uploaded by tvN’s Twitter account on March 15 shows Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Bo-young meeting on a snowy night. They stand on a railway station, with lights illuminating their surroundings. The snow falls, and the soft strumming of a guitar can be heard in the background as Yoo Ji-tae stares at Lee Bo-young with tears in his eyes and a smile on his lips. Lee Bo-young’s voiceover says, “No matter what, there are people who meet again.” Yoo Ji-tae concludes, “That moment when your life turns into a flower.”

When My Love Blooms is helmed by Son Jung-hyun, who directed the 2018 melodrama Should We Kiss First. It is expected to replace Kim Tae-hee’s Hi Bye, Mama in April.
