Yoo In-na transforms into wedding dress designer in new stills from ‘The Spies Who Loved Me’

Yoo In-na (Touch Your Heart) is radiating with timeless beauty in her character transformation in the new stills from the upcoming series The Spies Who Loved Me.

The new MBC spy series tells the thrilling rom-com story of a woman who accidentally gets entangled in the world of espionage by being involved with two undercover agents—one is her ex-husband and the other, her current partner.

The revealed stills unveiled a new look for Yoo In-na, who will play the character Kang Ah-reum, a wedding dress designer. Expectations are set on Yoo’s acting transformation, as well as how she will work her chemistry with her two co-stars, Shinhwa’s Eric Mun (Eccentric! Chef Moon), who will play Jun Ji-hoon, Ah-reum’s former husband and a charming undercover agent working for Interpol, and Lim Ju-hwan (The Game: Towards Zero), who will play her current husband Derek Hyun, a highly skilled corporate spy.

Yoo is an exceptional Korean beauty, and as she transforms into Ah-reum, her beauty is stealing the spotlight. Ah-reum’s passion as a wedding dress designer is illuminated in her gleaming eyes and genuine smiles as she happily works on a wedding dress. As an employee of a luxury wedding dress shop that targets customers from the elite and wealthy class of society, elegance is her priority in every piece. In one of the photos, you can also see her charm and charisma while smiling inside a shooting range, which suggests that she can be perfectly at ease and comfortable with her action scenes in the future. Her lovely yet confident appearance is also raising anticipation from fans.

Asked about the main characters of the series, Yoo said, “My character, with her husband and her ex-husband, [will form] an interesting trio. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds for these three characters and who are the least expected to be involved together, just like oil and water.”

Furthermore, Yoo describes how fond she is with her character Kang Ah-reum’s personality. “Kang Ah-reum’s biggest charm is her honesty. I think many people will be able to sympathize with her honesty and sincere lines every now and then.”

To be able to give justice to her character, Yoo In-na said she exerted effort in learning the basics of Ah-reum’s field. “I took the time to practice cutting and sewing to be able to transform into the wedding dress designer Kang Ah-reum. I also took lessons and practiced my shooting skills for her upcoming spy scenes.”

The Spies Who Loved Me, MBC’s new Wednesday and Thursday drama, is scheduled to air on October 21 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Luna

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
