Yeo Jin-goo, Lee Yeon-hee offered lead roles in upcoming SBS drama “Reunited Worlds”

Yeo Jin-goo and Lee Yeon-hee were offered the lead roles in the upcoming SBS fantasy romance drama Reunited Worlds. At the moment, the actor and actress are still working on separate projects. Yeo Jin-goo is currently starring in the tvN’s science-fiction drama Circle while Lee Yeon-hee will be starring in an upcoming JTBC drama The Package.

If both actors confirm the offer, they will play the roles of two individuals with a peculiar relationship in the fantasy-themed romance drama. The story is about two friends who were born in the same year but have aged differently. This results in a unique relationship between a 31-year old woman and an 18-year old man.

The 31-year old woman is a responsible individual who ignored her own interests and ends up being a nurse so that she can earn money and help out with her family. Despite having the same birth year with her friend, her age differs from that of him, who has the adolescent looks and behavior.

Lee Yeon-hee, who’s also almost 30 years old herself, debuted on Emperor of the Sea in 2004 and has been seen in several dramas since. These dramas include East of Eden in 2008, Phantom in 2012 and her last drama Hwajeong two years ago.

On the other hand, Yeo Jin-goo, the 20-year old actor who began his career at a young age, debuted in 2005 in the film Sad Movie. He has starred in over 19 dramas usually playing the young versions of the male leads, and finally landed his first male lead in Orange Marmalade back in 2015.

Reunited Worlds is written by Lee Hee-myung and to be directed by Baek Soo-chan. It is set to premiere on July 19 and will broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 pm KST, replacing the currently airing Suspicious Partners.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
