Yang Se-jong will make a cameo appearance in the ongoing medical drama Dr. Romantic 2, a source from his agency Good People Entertainment confirmed on January 29.

The actor is scheduled to film his part on February 1, but the broadcast date of his scene is yet undecided.

Yang Se-jong received an offer to cameo in the drama and decided to take it as a token of his gratitude. He was a member of the cast of Dr. Romantic, so his cameo appearance will mark a sweet reunion between him and other cast members who are reprising their roles in Dr. Romantic 2. The success of the first season in 2017 launched Yang into stardom almost instantly. He has since starred in Duel (2017), Temperature Of Love (2017), Still 17 (2018), and most recently, My Country: The New Age (2019).

Yang made his acting debut in Saimdang, Light’s Diary (2017) before taking on the role in Dr. Romantic but since the latter premiered in December 2016, it was the first drama in which he was seen on television. Saimdang, Light’s Diary, a completely pre-produced series, began its broadcast in January 2017.

Meanwhile, Dr. Romantic 2 recently became the first prime-time, non-weekend drama in 2020 to surpass 20% in TV ratings. It is headlined by Han Suk-kyu, Lee Sun-kyung, and Ahn Hyo-seop.
