Ongoing fantasy series The Uncanny Counter has made its mark in OCN history for logging in the highest single-episode rating ever for the network.
According to Nielsen Korea, The Uncanny Counter’s sixth episode, which aired on December 13, booked a viewership rating of 7.7% (7.654%), which translates to approximately 2.4 million viewers. Apart from breaking its personal best of 6.724% (fourth episode), this viewership rating has surpassed the 7.1% (7.086%) finale rating of Voice 2, the hit thriller series that previously held the highest rating record in OCN.
The Uncanny Counter tells the story of So Mun (Jo Byung-gyu, Hot Stove League), a high schooler who, by destiny and happenstance, finds himself suiting up as an unlikely superhero—a Counter, who is tasked to capture evil spirits that seek eternal life. He joins his mentors and fellow demon hunters Ga Mo-tak (Yoo Jun-sang, Graceful Friends), Do Ha-na (Kim Se-jeong, I Wanna Hear Your Song), and Choo Mae-ok (Yeom Hye-ran, Mystic Pop-up Bar) in restoring human order and keeping the world safe.
Meanwhile, tvN’s newest Saturday-Sunday historical-comedy drama Mr. Queen scored an outstanding viewership rating of 8.8% for its second episode, taking the top spot in its time slot for cable channels.
