VIXX’s Hyuk, Nam Bo-ra to headline new film ‘Croissant’

VIXX member Han Sang-hyuk and actress Nam Bo-ra are confirmed to star in the upcoming movie Croissant (literal title).

Croissant will revolve around young people who find themselves at a forked road towards reality or ideality as they struggle to reach for their ambitions in life.

Han Sang-hyuk, popularly known in the K-pop world as Hyuk of the boyband VIXX, signed up for the role of Hee-joon, a guy with great energy who fights for his dreams by confronting difficult situations head-on. The singer-actor made his film debut in the action movie Chasing (2016). This will be his next appearance on the big screen after his role as one of the male protagonists in the family musical film Happy Together (2018).

Meanwhile, Nam Bo-ra, who made her film debut in the horror movie Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp (2010), will take on the character Sung-eun, a pastry chef with a warm nature who runs her own bakery. Nam comes with a lauded reputation for her performances in movies such as Sunny (2011), Horror Stories (2012), and The Suspect (2013). The current project will mark her return to the cinemas since her portrayal of a support role in the family-drama film A Diamond in the Rough (2019).

Croissant is set to be helmed by director Cho Sung-kyu, aka David Cho, who previously led the film Remarriage Skills (2019). The movie is aiming to crank its production in June.
