‘Vincenzo’s’ Jeon Yeo-been courted for Netflix thriller by ‘Extracurricular’ maker

Vincenzo is going strong, but Lawyer Hong Cha-young aka Jeon Yeo-been is already eyeing new projects!

On March 2, Jeon’s management agency J,Wide-Company revealed that the actress has been offered the lead role in the upcoming Netflix original series titled Glitch and is considering the offer.

Glitch is a supernatural thriller revolving around a woman who is trying to trace the whereabouts of her boyfriend, who went missing after unidentified, mysterious lights were seen. She is helped by the members of a UFO community in her search.

Jeon Yeo-been made her acting debut with a supporting role in the historical film The Treacherous (2015) before starring in the hit thriller drama Save Me (2017). Her groundbreaking performance as a student suspected of the death of her classmate in the movie After My Death (2018) won her critical acclaim, several acting awards, as well as the title of “freaky newcomer” from Korean media for her acting prowess despite being only a few films old. Jeon then graduated to leading roles in films like Secret Zoo (2020), the upcoming Night in Paradise (2021) as well as dramas Be Melodramatic (2019) and the ongoing Vincenzo (2021).

Glitch is the brainchild of Jin Han-sae, who wrote another highly successful Netflix original crime thriller Extracurricular (2020).
