tvN’s Record of Youth features lead cast Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam, and Byun Woo-seok in the official poster for the highly awaited series.
Record of Youth depicts the journey of three young people as they strive to become successful in both their careers and romantic relationships. In an era where dreaming has turned into a luxury not everyone can afford, each of them musters up the courage to tear down the barriers that surround today’s fashion industry.
In the main visual for the series, Park Bo-gum (Encounter), Park So-dam (Cinderella and the Four Knights), and Byun Woo-seok (Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) huddle together while showing their most youthful expressions and sparkling eyes. Completing the summery feel of the scene they are in are the flowers in the background and warm rays of the sun, which both accentuate the vibrant, hopeful faces of the lead trio.
Park Bo-gum looks clean and fresh as he transforms into Sa Hye-joon, an optimistic guy and an aspiring model slash actor who juggles idealism with the reality of daily life. Standing beside him is Byun Woo-seok as Won Hae-hyo, a rising model and actor. His colorful appearance is balanced with an almost serious aura, which hints that Hae-hyo may be a friendly person but he is also truly determined when it comes to achieving all of his goals. Right at the center is Park So-dam who plays Ahn Jeong-ha, a smart lady and rookie makeup artist who has unbending will power. With a camera in hand and the biggest smile, her charming beauty renders the picture an even brighter mood.
Among the project’s previously confirmed cast members are actors Shin Ae-ra (Ugly Alert), Han Jin-hee (Never Twice), Ha Hee-ra (Lady Cha Dal-rae’s Lover), Lee Chang-hoon (Black Dog), Park Soo-young (Soul Mechanic), Yang So-min (The Tale of Nokdu), Lee Jae-won (VIP), Kwon Soo-hyun (Abyss), Jung Min-sung (365: Repeat the Year), Jo Yoo-jung (Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life), and Park Se-hyun (Doctor Prisoner).
The production team behind the project shared, “At the most youthful phase in their lives, three young people will go after their dreams and provide the viewers with heartfelt excitement, pleasant waves of laughter, and relatable stories. Please look forward to the performances of Park Bo-gum, Park So-dam, and Byun Woo-seok.”
Record of Youth is helmed by Ahn Gil-ho, director of WATCHER (2019), and penned by Ha Myung-hee, screenwriter for Temperature of Love (2017). It is scheduled to premiere on September 7 at 9:00 p.m. KST and will air as a Monday-Tuesday drama, replacing My Unfamiliar Family. It will also be up for streaming across 190 countries worldwide via Netflix.
