Upcoming JTBC romantic drama ‘We, Were in Love’ drops official poster

JTBC romantic series We, Were in Love has released its main poster, weeks ahead of its slated July premiere, featuring main cast Song Ji-hyo (Lovely Horribly), Son Ho-jun (The Light in Your Eyes), Song Jong-ho (Arthdal Chronicles), Kim Min-joon (Babysitter), Koo Ja-sung (The Secret Life of My Secretary), and Kim Da-som (He Is Psychometric).

We, Were in Love tells the story of movie producer Noh Ae-jung (Song Ji-hyo) who has been raising her child alone for 14 years. Despite having already given up on romance due to a bad history of intimate relationships, she ironically finds herself embarking on an unexpected chapter of her love life when four men decide to pursue her, all at the same time.

We, Were in Love Main Poster

In the poster, the cast of characters—popular actress Joo Ah-rin (Kim Da-som), appealing A-list actor Ryu Jin (Song Jong-ho), cheerful and confident teacher Oh Yeon-woo (Koo Ja-sung), and the scary but sexy gangster-turned-CEO Goo Pa-do (Kim Min-joon)—gather around the female protagonist Ae-jung and her irresistible ex-boyfriend Oh Dae-oh (Son Ho-jun). Their happy smiles are made more brilliant by the red- and yellow-themed floral garden background. A yellow string is artistically traced around them as if denoting that they will be putting sparks of color to each of their once-bland existence.

The overall picnic-feel of the shot appeals to awaken the viewers’ anticipation for a refreshing and brightly-textured drama that could make everyone believe in love again.

We, Were in Love’s (literal title) complicated four-against-one tale is penned by screenwriter Lee Seung-jin and is helmed by director Kim Do-hyung whose notable works include Princess Hours (2006), Mischievous Kiss (2010), and 18 Again (2017). It is scheduled to take over the Wednesday-Thursday prime-time slot currently occupied by Mystic Pop-up Bar.
