Uhm Ji-won confirmed to star in new thriller from ‘Train To Busan’ director

Actress Uhm Ji-won has been confirmed as the female lead in Method, an upcoming thriller that is written by director Yeon Sang-ho of the 2016 hit zombie thriller film Train To Busan.

Method is a mystery thriller drama about a journalist who cannot stand injustice. It is scheduled to be broadcast in the first half of 2020.

Uhm Ji-woon signed up for the role of Im Jin-hee, a passionate reporter who holds deep convictions and is ready to go all out to confront injustice. When she tries to uncover the secrets of Forest, an IT company that is linked to an “evil spirit,” she meets a girl named So-jin who possesses special abilities.

Uhm Ji-won’s most recent dramas include Spring Turns To Spring (2019) and Falsify (2017). She is currently staying in New York for a break.

Meanwhile, Sung Dong-il (Trap) has also been confirmed to star in the drama as Jin Jong-hyun, the CEO of the said IT company who believes in shamanism. Also confirmed as a cast member is actress Jo Min-soo (Goddess of Marriage), who will portray the head of a spiritual consulting firm that is owned by Forest.
