‘The Last Empress,’ Yoo In-na top list of most buzzworthy dramas, actors

Good Data Corporation, a company that administers the ranking of television shows and actors based on the online buzz they generate, released its latest rankings on February 11, with The Last Empress topping the list of most buzzworthy dramas.

The ranking is based on the study of 28 dramas that aired between February 4 and February 10. The study was conducted by analyzing responses and reactions to the dramas in online articles, blog posts, community forums, social media, and video clips.

Despite having to postpone the broadcast of its episodes 43 and 44 due to the Lunar New Year holiday, The Last Empress managed to come in first in the said ranking, 11 weeks after its first broadcast. Previously, this spot had been occupied by JTBC’s blockbuster drama Sky Castle and tvN’s Memories Of The AlhambraJTBC’s new drama Legal High, which premiered on February 8, ranks 2nd while tvN’s Touch Your Heart, also a new series which premiered on February 6, occupies the 3rd place.

Rounding out the list of most buzzworthy Korean dramas, from rank 4 to 10, are tvN’s Romance Is A Bonus Book, KBS2’s My Only One, tvN’s The Crowned Clown, KBS2’s Liver or Die, tvN’s Rude Miss Young-ae 17, OCN’s Trap, and JTBC’s Clean With Passion For Now.

The Good Data Corporation also revealed the ranking of the most buzzworthy drama cast members for the same period. Yoo In-na, lead actress of Touch Your Heart, is on top of this list, followed by Romance Is A Bonus Book stars Lee Na-young and Lee Jong-suk at number 2 and 3, respectively. Yoo’s co-star, Lee Dong-wook, ranks 4th in the ranking.

Yoo Jun-sang’s gut-wrenching performance in last week’s episodes of Liver Or Die catapulted him to 5th place on the list, a jump of five spots relative to the previous ranking. Meanwhile, The Last Empress’ lead actors Shin Sung-rok and Jang Na-ra rank 6th and 7th, respectively.

Legal High‘s Jin Goo and The Crowned Clown‘s Yeo Jin-goo rank 8th and 9th, respectively, while My Only One‘s Choi Soo-jung rounded off the top 10 list.
