The King: Eternal Monarch has released new stills featuring the interaction between the characters of Lee Min-ho and Jung Eun-chae, and the characters of Kim Go-eun and Kim Kyung-nam.
Written by celebrated screenwriter Kim Eun-sook (Mr. Sunshine), the upcoming series revolves around two people who live in parallel worlds but end up crossing paths with each other after a supernatural entity opens the door between the two worlds.
The first set of stills below feature the chemistry between Lee Min-ho and Jung Eun-chae, who play the Korean Empire’s emperor and prime minister, respectively. The two seem to be having a serious but somewhat flirtatious conversation, whispering something in each other’s ears. From the stills, it looks like the two share a love-hate relationship.
Meanwhile, SBS previously released stills featuring Kim Go-Eun and Kim Kyung-nam as detectives in a parallel world where South Korea is a democracy. The two have been friends since school days and are now partners at work. The stills highlight their warm friendship and amazing teamwork as they do their job together.
The King: Eternal Monarch is one of the six new Korean dramas in April. It will be broadcast on SBS every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST beginning April 17. The new episodes of the drama will also be made available on Netflix every week.
