‘Taxi Driver’s’ Baek Hyun-jin cast in Park Hyung-sik’s comeback drama

Actor Baek Hyun-jin will be seen in upcoming tvN thriller Happiness

Happiness is an urban apocalyptic thriller that takes place in a world where infectious diseases have become the new normal. People live isolated existences in apartments in a society divided by class. Park Hyung-sik (Suits), Han Hyo-joo ((W – Two Worlds), and Jo Woo-jin (Mr. Sunshine) are set to headline the show. This is Park Hyung-sik’s comeback drama after serving mandatory military service.

Baek Hyun-jin will play Oh Joo-hyung, a dermatologist. Behind his elite persona, Oh Joo-hyung hides a sociopathic personality. His character is angry at the society for being unfair and is expected to show intense acting.

Baek is an actor, musician, and artist who recently earned rave reviews for his work in the film Samjin Company English Class (2020). The all-rounder actor recently starred in SBS’s Taxi Driver and is slated to appear in Ji Sung’s upcoming drama The Devil Judge, scheduled for July.

Happiness will be directed by Ahn Gil-ho (Record of Youth) and penned by Han Sang-woon (WATCHER), while production is set to happen under Studio Dragon.
