‘Taxi Driver’ writer exits drama mid-production

SBS’s ongoing drama Taxi Driver has announced that there has been a change in the production’s screenwriter.

Earlier today, May 17, an official from the drama said, “Writer Oh Sang-ho, who wrote the drama’s script from the 1st episode until the 10th episode, has been replaced by Lee Ji-hyun starting from the 11th episode. Due to the writer’s [Oh] and the director’s [Park Joon-woo] different opinions regarding the drama’s direction, they mutually agreed that Oh Sang-ho will step down, and Lee Ji-hyun will write the remaining episodes.”

Taxi Driver centers on a small taxi company that maintains an underground operation in which their employees take revenge on behalf of their callers who are victims of injustice in the society. It stars Lee Je-hoon (Move to Heaven), Esom (Save Me 2), Kim Eui-sung (Arthdal Chronicles), Pyo Ye-jin (VIP), Jang Hyuk-jin (Awaken), Cha Ji-yeon (Scent of a Woman), and Bae Yoo-ram (Zombie Detective). The drama has been garnering popularity and maintaining stable viewership ratings.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
