Upcoming JTBC series Private Life has added actor Tae Won-seok to its incredible lineup of main cast.
Private Life follows a group of con artists who unintentionally become entangled in private matters of national scale. As a result, they find themselves going up against a massive corporation and begin uncovering its dark secrets.
Playing the protagonists in the drama are Girls’ Generation member Seohyun (Seo Ju-hyun, The Time) and actor Go Kyung-pyo (Cross). Seohyun signed up for the role of con artist Cha Joo-eun who learned her unusual skills from her parents and has since used them to survive on her own. Meanwhile, Go Kyung-pyo is set to play a mysterious man named Lee Jung-hwan who crosses path with Joo-eun while impersonating the team leader of a major electronics company.
Tae Won-seok will suit up as Han Son, a promising scammer in the field and is Cha Joo-eun’s most trusted accomplice. Tae has been out and about, playing unforgettable cameo and supporting roles in popular dramas such as Descendants of the Sun (2016), Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016–2017), Arthdal Chronicles (2019), and most recently, Dinner Mate (2020). Aside from his role in the upcoming drama, he also played one of the main characters in OCN’s multi-genre series The Player (2018).
Included among Private Life’s previously confirmed cast are Kim Hyo-jin (Strangers 6), Kim Young-min (The World of the Married), and Lee Hak-joo (Sweet Munchies).
The drama is helmed by director Nam Gun of Temperature of Love (2017) and penned by screenwriter Yoo Sung-yeol of My Beautiful Bride (2015). It is scheduled to air in the second half of 2020.
