Still images of Lee Sung-kyung and Yoon Kyun-sang have been released today as a preview of their cameo appearance in While You Were Sleeping. The anticipated special appearance of the two actors will finally be seen by the viewers in tonight’s episodes of the drama.

Lee Sung-kyung (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) and Yoon Kyun-sang (Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People) play a sweet couple in the drama and are shown in the first image below wearing matching pink clothes and taking a selfie together. The couple is expected to provoke Jung Jae-chan and Nam Hong-joo, the main characters played by Lee Jong-suk and Bae Suzy, in the series to act comfortably and affectionately like a real couple does.

In the second image, which shows both couples having a date in the middle of a rye field, Jung Jae-chan and Nam Hong-joo are looking at Lee Sung-kyung’s and Yoon Kyun-sang’s characters who are enjoying their time together and are being sweet and lovely as a couple. The main characters seem jealous of the couple’s very expressive attitude towards each other and can be seen in the third image shyly posing for the camera.

Lee Sung-kyung and Yoon Kyun-sang had accepted the cameo roles because they previously worked together with While You Were Sleeping PD Oh Choong-hwan in the 2016 medical drama Doctors where they played the secondary leads. They are also close friends of Lee Jong-suk who belongs to the same agency (YG Entertainment) as Lee Sung-kyung.

While You Were Sleeping is a completely pre-produced supernatural romance drama about a journalist (Suzy) who can see the future through her dreams and a prosecutor (Lee Jong-suk) who has acquired the same ability shortly after meeting her. In the previous two episodes of the drama, they both learn about a past event in their teenage years that could explain the reason behind their common ability to see the future and confirm their love for each other with a kiss.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called ‘stereotype’) habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
