According to Nielsen Korea, the latest nationwide viewership rating of tvN’s Vincenzo has emerged as the drama’s personal best yet after it surpassed the coveted 10-percent mark.
On February 28, Vincenzo’s fourth episode scored a remarkable 10.215 percent, beating the performances of its three predecessors: 9.295 percent (episode 2), 8.121 percent (episode 3), and 7.659 percent (episode 1).
In addition, the current feat has also allowed Vincenzo to secure the top spot among all ongoing weekend cable dramas. On February 27, JTBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Beyond Evil recorded 4.204 percent on its fourth episode, while OCN’s Saturday-Sunday series Times logged in 2.844 percent the following day.
Vincenzo is a black comedy drama that follows the life of Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki, Arthdal Chronicles), an Italian lawyer and mafia consigliere of Korean descent. When conflict and betrayal arise within his organization, he flees to South Korea to recover the gold he helped hide inside an apartment complex and plans to use it as a retirement fund. However, a real estate company has now illegally taken ownership of the property. In his attempt to attain justice through his own ways, he meets a persistent lawyer named Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been, Be Melodramatic) and falls in love with her.
