Song Ji-hyo considers playing single mom in new JTBC drama ‘Begin Again’

Song Ji-hyo is reportedly reviewing a casting offer from JTBC’s upcoming drama Begin Again. If she accepts, this will be the actress’s first project in over a year.

The actress was last seen in the 2018 horror-romance Lovely Horribly, which recorded one of the lowest drama TV ratings last year.

Not much is known about the new project, except that it’s an unusual romance involving a single mother who meets four men that pique her interest. Song Ji-hyo has been offered the lead role of a single mother and movie producer named No Ae-jong.

Song Ji-hyo is probably most famous as a regular cast member of one of South Korea’s most popular variety shows, Running Man. She was recently in the news for moving to a new agency, Creative Group ING, and has a thriller film called Daughter due for release later this year.

Begin Again will be directed by SKY Castle junior PD Kim Do-hyung and broadcast in the first half of 2020.
