‘Something In The Rain’ wins drama of the year award

JTBC’s Something In The Rain (also called Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food) was selected as the drama of the year 2018 at this year’s Brand of the Year ceremony hosted by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee. The ceremony is an annual event that selects and award the best brands through voting by consumers.

The JTBC drama bested the following tvN shows by voting: Secret ForestMother, and Live. Last year’s winner is KBS2’s popular series Fight For My Way.

Something In The Rain (directed by PD Ahn Pan-seok) tells the love story of a woman in his mid-30s and a man much younger than she is. The series was a commercial hit and became one of the highest-rated Korean dramas in cable TV history, achieving a peak rating of 7.281 percent. It stars actors Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in.
