Smiling, surprised Ahn Hyo-seop featured in new stills from ‘Abyss’

Ahn Hyo-seop looks chic as a wealthy young man with a new face in new stills released on March 29 by tvN for its upcoming fantasy drama, Abyss, which tells the story of two people who suddenly meet their death but are immediately granted a new life by a mysterious soul-reviving marble.

Ahn and Park Bo-young play the protagonists, who return to their lives but with totally different faces and identity. With their new lives, they set on a journey together to find out who caused their demise.

Ahn Hyo-seop plays Cha Min, the future president of a famous Korean cosmetics company who has anything but good looks, which he eventually possesses when he is revived by the magical marble. The stills below were taken during the actor’s first day of shooting for the drama. He is smiling in one still but looks surprised in another.

“I was so nervous for my first day of shooting. I was able to have fun and be comfortable, thanks to director Yoo Jae-won and the whole team including Park Bo-young and Lee Sung-jae,” the actor shared.

The actor invited viewers to look forward to his new drama, saying. “I feel good about the drama and I’m excited for you to meet Cha Min. Please look forward to May when Abyss premieres.”

Earlier this week, the series released another set of stills featuring Park Bo-young. She is playing a beautiful prosecutor who gets reborn as a lawyer with an average-looking face.

In May, Abyss will be replacing He is Psychometric on the Monday-Tuesday prime time drama time slot of cable network tvN.
