SHINee’s Onew to join Kim Min-seok in “Age of Youth 2”

Onew (Descendants of the Sun) of Kpop idol group SHINee has officially signed to appear on Age of Youth 2 as Kwon Ho-chang, an engineering student who is innocent when it comes to love and relationships. He will be joining Kim Min-seok (Defendant) whom he worked with in the massive hit drama Descendants of the Sun.

Onew will be playing the love interest of Han Seung-yeon’s character while Kim Min-seok will be playing the role of Seo Jang-hoon, the representative of the owner of the house where the main female characters live together.

Onew and Kim Min-seok to star in Age of Youth 2

Age of Youth’s first season told the story of university students Yoon Jin-myung (Han Ye-ri), Jung Ye-eun (Han Seung-yeon), Song Ji-won (Park Eun-bin), Kang Yi-na (Ryu Hwa-young), and Yoo Eun-jae (Park Hye-soo) who live in the same house. The five ladies came from different backgrounds and have contrasting personalities. Jin-myung supports herself financially and rarely gets enough sleep. Ye-eun is the type who is not easily swayed for she knows what she likes and dislikes. Ji-won displays a cheerful personality and is always ready for a drink. Yi-na is a popular girl due to her looks while Eun-jae is a shy woman but has a different taste when it comes to men.

The ladies will be joined by a new housemate played by Choi A-Ra. She will be staying in the room occupied by Ryu Hwa-young’s character in the first season and will be involved in a romantic relationship with Kim Min-seok’s character.
