‘Secret’ reveals first look at Park Hae-jin’s character

On April 1, upcoming drama Secret released still images featuring its lead actor Park Hae-jin.

The images were taken on March 8, the day when Park (Man to Man) started filming for the series. They reveal how he is a great fit for the role of Kang San-hyuk whose aura shows how firm and confident he is as a successful investor, even if there are things missing in his personal life. While he looks dashing and perfect, he lives not knowing what happened during his early years. His life changes when he becomes a special rescue team member who puts the lives of others above all else.

Secret is about people who seek healing and happiness after going through difficult times in their lives. An early report described it as a romantic comedy—in particular, as Park Hae-jin’s first rom-com since his debut 13 years ago—but with an emotional story that is expected to touch the hearts of the viewers and become a source of healing for them, it sure is not a typical rom-com.

Working alongside Park is actress Jo Bo-ah (Temperature of Love). She is playing a female doctor named Jung Young-jae who has found love and happiness after reaching a forest where many people with sorrowful pasts meet.

Secret is helmed by Oh Jong-rok of Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy and penned by Lee Seon-young. It is scheduled to air in the latter half of 2019 and will run for 20 episodes. No confirmed broadcaster yet is attached to the project.
