Second teaser for Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Sun-bin’s upcoming drama

OCN’s upcoming comedy crime drama Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation has released its second teaser.

The series stars Cha Tae-hyun (Matrimonial Chaos) as a righteous but cranky detective and Lee Sun-bin (The Great Show) as a TV investigative show’s director who is willing to go to any length to get content for her program. The two end up forming an unlikely crime investigation team with three other people. The team sets out on hilarious adventures in a bid to solve difficult cases.

The 29-second teaser features Cha Tae-hyun sighing with a sullen expression while leaning against a car. Lee Sun-bin is seen enthusiastically recording something on her camera. Jung Sang-hoon (Love Affairs In The Afternoon), who plays an autopsy expert turned funeral director, uncovers a body and puts on gloves to inspect it. Beside him is Ji Seung-hyun (My Country: The New Age), a criminal profiler and private detective who points at the body with a flashlight.

Yoon Kyung-ho (Itaewon Class) arrives at the scene, looking cool and charismatic, waving as if he is a movie star on the red carpet. But soon he is pushed away from the frame by a young detective, who also asks Lee Sun-bin to stop recording. The team is told that they have no business being at the scene of an actual crime. The caption on the screen reads, “The actual investigation takes place outside the tape.” The eccentric but hilarious group then leaves, but with style and accompanied by upbeat background music.

Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation is the drama debut of movie director Kang Hyo-jin, who worked on films like The Dude In Me (2019) and The Backstreet Noir (2018). It is written by Lee Yoo-jin, who wrote the 2015 OCN drama The Missing.

The 12-episode series is set to premiere on April 4 at 10:50 p.m. KST.
