Upcoming SBS crime-action series Taxi Driver has dropped eye-catching posters of its lead star, Lee Je-hoon.
Taxi Driver follows the special service of a private cab company called Rainbow Fortune. Instead of transporting regular commuters, Rainbow Fortune offers solutions to victims who are forced to attain justice for themselves when the law itself has failed to defend them. Agents carry out revenge call orders from the said clients while pretending to be ordinary taxi drivers. The drama is based on the webtoon “The Deluxe Taxi” by manhwa (Korean term for comics) author Carlos and illustrator Lee Jae-Jin.
In the freshly released teaser posters, Lee Je-hoon (Where Stars Land) incredibly depicts the contrasting personalities of Rainbow Fortune’s taxi drivers. In the vertical poster, the actor transforms into his character, Kim Do-gi, who looks unbelievably dashing in his driver uniform. He smiles warmly as he fixes one of his gloves in such a way that would make any passenger let down their guard and completely put their trust in him.

In the horizontal poster, however, Do-gi morphs into a dark hero whose previous trainings in the Naval Academy and the Special Forces always come in handy during risky missions. As he flashes a sharp yet inviting gaze through the taxi’s open rear door, Do-gi’s dangerous aura will make anyone curious about what will happen if they hop in and let the handsome driver take control of the wheel.

The production team behind the drama said, “Taxi Driver presents a Korean dark hero who acts as our neighbor and fights against the various crimes that are prevalent in our society. We will convey our empathy and give entertainment beyond what usual hero dramas do. Please look forward to it.”
Taxi Driver, also known as Deluxe Taxi, is spearheaded by director Park Joon-woo of Doctor Detective (2019) and screenwriter Oh Sang-ho. The Friday-Saturday drama is slated to premiere on April 9 at 10 p.m. KST, replacing Penthouse 2.
