K-pop idol and rookie actor Rowoon has been courted to headline a new JTBC drama titled Sunbae, Don’t Put on That Lipstick, a source from his agency FNC Entertainment said on April 29.
Sunbae, Don’t Put on That Lipstick is based on a popular 2017 webtoon of the same name. It revolves around the romance between a good-looking employee and his senior (sunbae) at work. Rowoon is in talks to take on the role of the junior worker, who is sexy and exudes a serious aura.

Rowoon debuted as a member of the Kpop group SF9 in 2016 and made his first drama appearance in School 2017. In 2018, he gained more attention after he played supporting roles in About Time and Where Stars Land. If he accepts the offer, it will be his second drama in a leading role, following Extraordinary You, a 2019 fantasy romance series that also featured actress Kim Hye-yoon.
Sunbae, Don’t Put on That Lipstick will be helmed by director Lee Dong-yoon of 20th Century Boy and Girl (2017). It aims to premiere in October.
