On February 18, it was revealed that rookie actress Ji Yi-soo would be joining the cast of KBS2’s My Fellow Citizens, starring Choi Si-won and Lee Yoo-young.
My Fellow Citizens is a comedy-crime drama about a longtime con man Yang Jung-kook, played by Choi (Revolutionary Love), whose girlfriend runs off with the money he was saving for their wedding. He falls in love again, this time with a woman named Kim Mi-young, played by Lee (Your Honor), and they get married, following which the woman reveals that she is actually a detective.
Kim Min-jung, who was last seen in 2018 hit Mr. Sunshine, will be appearing in the series as Park Hoo-ja, the daughter of a man who was conned by Yang Jung-kook and who blackmails him into running for the National Assembly. The supporting cast also includes actors Tae In-ho (About Time) and Kim Eui-sung (Memories Of The Alhambra).
Ji Yi-soo will be playing Detective Na, who has just joined the investigation unit Kim Mi-young is in. Detective Na is young and inexperienced but does her duty with discipline and honesty. Ji will be showcasing the fresh charms of a young adult at her first job through the series. She was last seen in JTBC’s Solomon’s Perjury and SBS’ Doctors.
My Fellow Citizens will be directed by PD Kim Jung-hyun, who worked on KBS2’s TV movie, After The Rain. Writer Han Jung-hoon, who wrote OCN’s Bad Guys: City of Evil (2017-2018) and MBC’s Missing Nine (2018), will be working with KBS for the first time through this drama.
My Fellow Citizens will succeed My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2: Crime And Punishment in March.
