Park Sung-hoon drops out of drama ‘Only One Person’; Kim Kyung-nam courted as replacement

Park Sung-hoon (Joseon Exorcist) has officially stepped down from his role in the upcoming JTBC drama Only One Person due to conflict in schedules, according to his agency BH Entertainment.

Only One Person is a story of how one terminally ill woman makes it her last goal to kill one bad person so she can contribute something good to society before she dies. In her pursuit to find her victim, she meets someone who would eventually become a special person to her, instead. Together, they become entangled in a mysterious murder case. The production has recently confirmed the casting of Ahn Eun-jin (Hospital Playlist 2), Park Soo-young (Red Velvet’s Joy, Tempted), and Go Doo-shim (When the Camellia Blooms).

The drama was initially scheduled to begin filming this July but had to take a hiatus due to Actor Park leaving the cast. In his stead, the production team is courting Revolutionary Sisters (2021) star Kim Kyung-nam. This was confirmed by Kim’s agency JR Entertainment, who told the media, “It is true that Kim Kyung-nam has received an offer for the drama Only One Person.”

Only One Person will be a 16-episode drama spearheaded by director Oh Hyun-jong of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016–2017) and Find Me in Your Memory (2020) and screenwriter Moon Jung-min of Matrimonial Chaos (2018). Its initial schedule of airing is in December.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
