Park Seung-yeon joins Go Ara, Lee Jae-wook in rom-com musical series ‘Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol’

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, starring Go Ara and Lee Jae-wook, is getting a new addition to its cast with the confirmed appearance of Park Seung-yeon.

The new KBS2 rom-com series follows a quirky, happy-go-lucky pianist Goo Ra-ra, played by Go Ara (Haechi), whose family moves to the countryside after going bankrupt. There, she meets the odd and quiet Sun Woo-joon, played by Lee Jae-wook (When the Weather Is Fine), who has a cold personality and is mysterious. The two meet in a small, private piano academy. As they attempt to settle their differences, their clashing personalities end up fueling their blossoming feelings.

According to the Park Seung-yeon’s agency on August 18, the actress will be joining the cast as the aggressive Lee Kum-mo. Kum-mo dreams of getting a divorce from her husband, so she spends her days in the salon, cursing at her husband, their children, and even her in-laws.

Park has appeared in many popular series since her debut in 2016, including Dear My Friends (2016), Abyss (2019), Love Alarm (2019), Arthdal Chronicles (2019), and the most recent, Diary of a Prosecutor (2019).

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is under the direction of Kim Min-kyung (Matrimonial Chaos) and is written by Oh Ji-young (My Secret, Terrius). It is scheduled for broadcast on KBS2 on August 26 at 9:30 p.m. KST, taking over Memorials in its current Wednesday and Thursday time slot.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
