Park Seo-joon, Kim Da-mi pose for photo in neon-lit street of Itaewon

JTBC has unveiled another poster for Park Seo-joon and Kim Da-mi‘s upcoming drama Itaewon Class.

The drama tells the story of a group of youngsters who come together because of their passion, discarding the rules and norms set by society. They attempt to rise beyond convention and chase after their dreams unabashedly. Taking the lead is Park Seo-joon’s character, who single-handedly starts a restaurant business and takes on a major player in the food industry. Kim Da-mi plays a social media influencer who joins forces with him to manage and promote his restaurant.

In the new poster, Park Seo-joon is sporting a black hoodie, with the expression on his face that of polite interest. Kim Da-mi looks much more stylish in a purple leather jacket and smiles easily. In the backdrop, the bustling view of Itaewon, a popular tourist haunt in Seoul, is visible, populated by neon signs of bars and restaurants. The text at the bottom of the poster spells out the mantra of the youngsters in the show: “Live a life where you can’t put a cost on your convictions.”

Slated to premiere on January 31, Itaewon Class is the TV adaptation of a popular webtoon by Jo Gwang-jin, who is also writing the script of the drama. It is directed by Kim Sung-yoon, who co-directed the 2016 historical drama Love In The Moonlight.

Itaewon Class also stars Yoo Jae-myung (My Fellow Citizens), Kwon Na-ra (Doctor Prisoner), Lee Joo-young (The Ghost Detective) and Ahn Bo-hyun (Her Private Life).
