Park Seo-joon, the lead actor in the ongoing KBS drama Fight For My Way, said in the June 13 press meeting that the drama wants the viewers to go for things they want to do even if they do not succeed.
Park Seo-joon noted during the press conference that he thinks the overall message of Fight For My Way was evidently portrayed during the fourth episode. Go Dong-man, the role he is playing, said during one of the scenes in the fourth episode regarding his decision to venture into Mixed Martial Arts, “Even if I don’t succeed, I’m going to just go for it!” Park Seo-joon believes this is the overall message the drama wants the viewers to understand.
The actor revealed that when he was discharged from the army, he thought that he had everything planned and that things will work out the way he wanted them to. However, reality set in and things definitely changed for him even if he did not want to. Park Seo-joon said that maybe others saw Go Dong-man’s sudden realization that he wants to change his fate as “just humor” but he wanted viewers to know that he tried to make the lines as impactful as he can in order to affect those who have big dreams just like his Fight For My Way character.
Fight For My Way follows the stories of Go Dong-man and Choi Ae-ra (Kim Ji-won), who have been friends since they were kids. The two characters share their dreams and difficulties in reaching those goals in the first episodes of the show. As the story progresses, they do everything in their power to change where they are now and be who they really want to be.
