Lee Jin-wook (Goodbye Mr. Black) was offered to take the role of Commander Jin Seong, a man born to a royal family. He can do anything he wants and live a normal life, but chooses another path as he plans to take revenge on and take over the throne of his brother, Yeon San-gun, whose role is now being considered by Jin Goo (Night Light). Jin Goo’s character has everything but the heart of the woman he loves. He dreams of a world where the King is the center of everything.

The drama, which will be directed by Lee Jung-seob, will mark Park Min-young’s 6th project together with the director if she accepts the role. She worked with him in her past dramas including Glory Jane, Healer, and Remember: War of the Sons.

The drama is based on the true story of Lady Shin, who married Prince Jin Seong in 1499. When the prince took over the throne in 1506, she became the Queen and held the title for seven days until she was removed from her position and expelled from the palace.

Seven Day Queen is scheduled to air every Wednesdays and Thursdays, following Mystery Queen in May 2017.
