Actor Park Ho-san is currently being roped in to star alongside Ong Seong-wu, who recently confirmed his casting in the upcoming drama How About a Cup of Coffee? (literal title).
On May 25, management agency Lighthouse Entertainment stated on behalf of Park, “He has received an offer to appear in the new KakaoTV original series How About a Cup of Coffee? and is reviewing it affirmatively.”
How About a Cup of Coffee? follows newbie barista Kang Go-bi as he steps into the aromatic world of coffee. It is based on a manhwa (Korean comics) of the same name by renowned artist Huh Young-man and aims to celebrate his 40th anniversary in the industry.
Park Ho-san is in talks to portray the coffee master Park Seok, owner of the café where Kang Go-bi works. He will be teaching Go-bi everything that he knows about coffee, opening opportunities for the young barista to gain heartwarming experiences with other coffee enthusiasts.
In 2014, Park landed his first television work as a minor character in the series Liar Game and has remained an active drama actor since. His career boasts yearly additions of great projects that have now accumulated to over 15 different titles, including Extracurricular (2020), Dinner Mate (2020), True Beauty (2020–2021), and Hush (2020–2021).
On top of his potential small-screen team-up with Ong Seong-wu, Park is also on the radar for his upcoming participation in the hit makjang series (drama with exaggerated elements) Penthouse 3.
How About a Cup of Coffee? plans to kick off its filming next month and broadcast sometime in the second half of 2021.
