Park Hae-joon in talks to star in new comedy drama

After turning down a role in the Korean drama remake of the Spanish hit series Money Heist (2017), The World of the Married star Park Hae-joon is reportedly being courted for a new comedy drama.

According to a report by Sports Dong-A on the 14th, Park Hae-joon received an offer to appear in the new drama I Haven’t Done My Best Yet (tentative title). If he accepts, he will portray an aspiring webtoon writer who puts dedication and responsibility above everything else. The drama will revolve around the events in his life as he wanders through his youth until his middle-age years. This potential project will also be his first foray into the comedy genre, as the actor has mainly appeared in thriller, action, and makjang (dramas with exaggerated elements and plots) dramas. His television projects include Doctor Stranger (2014) and Arthdal Chronicles (2019).

I Haven’t Done My Best Yet will be directed by Im Tae-woo, who directed Steal Heart (2014) and Sketch (2018). Writer Park Hee-kwon, who wrote the screenplay for The Third Charm (2018), will be in charge of the drama’s script.

The production crew is reportedly working on casting the main and supporting actors and is planning to start filming in the first half of the year.

I Haven’t Done My Best Yet is in discussions to air on JTBC.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
