Park Hae-jin considers “Man to Man” role his most natural drama performance
On his 11th year in the entertainment industry, actor Park Hae-jin assumes a leading role in JTBC’s upcoming drama Man to Man. He plays the role of Kim Seol-woo, a black ops agent who works as a bodyguard to a longtime celebrity while completing national secret tasks assigned to him. This is different from his previous mysterious role in the romantic drama Cheese in the Trap and his genius killer character in the action thriller series Bad Guys.
The actor also took part in the popular drama series My Love From the Star and Doctor Stranger and was first seen in KBS’ Famous Chill Princesses in the year 2006. He has matured in acting through the years and relative to his previous casting and exposure, he reveals in an interview during a media event at Times Square Mall in Seoul on April 18 that he totally owned his character in his newest drama Man to Man and acted comfortably for the role. “I think it was my first time just playing natural in front of a camera,” he said.
Aside from Park Hae-jin’s role, Man to Man (also known as Man X Man) features a top celebrity played by Park Sung-woong (Remember: War of the Sons) and the celebrity’s manager portrayed by Kim Min-jung (The Merchant: Gaekju 2015).
The drama is set to air on JTBC beginning April 21 for a 16-episode run every Fridays and Saturdays at 11 pm. It will also stream on video entertainment giant Netflix just one hour after its local release. Fans need not wait for the drama’s most recent episode and subtitles since Netflix reaches out to over 190 countries and provides more than 20 languages for subtitles.
Man to Man is a fully pre-produced drama directed by Lee Chang-min and written by Kim Won-suk, the same writer who co-wrote the massive hit show Descendants of the Sun. It is one of JTBC’s special lineup of dramas for the network’s 5th anniversary celebration.
