Oh Na-ra to star in new sports-themed drama

Oh Na-ra has been roped in to join the cast of the upcoming SBS sports-themed drama Racket Boys. Her agency Hooxi Creative announced the confirmation of her appearance on December 22.

Racket Boys is a heartwarming story about a middle school badminton club and the members’ inspiring journey toward competing in the championships.

Oh Na-ra has signed on to play the role of Ra Young-ja, a living legend in the badminton industry and the coach of the nation’s no. 1 middle school badminton club. She is a charismatic and charming woman with outstanding knowledge in the strategies and politics of the sport, inside and outside of the court. However, due to her strong personality, she is feared by the students in her school and those from other schools.

Oh Na-ra, who continues to impress with her performances across various genres, has notable small- and silver-screen profiles. She is known for her role in the hit JTBC drama SKY Castle (2018–2019) and has previously greeted the viewers in the MBC mystery series Chip In (2020).

Potentially joining Oh Na-ra in Racket Boys are actors Kim Sang-kyung (Miss Lee), Tang Jun-sang (Crash Landing on You), and Kim Kang-hoon (Start-Up).

Racket Boys, penned by Prison Playbook’s writer Jung Bo-hoon and directed by Jo Young-kwang, is slated to air next year.
