Oh Min-suk, Lee Si-eon join cast of KBS2’s ‘If You Cheat, You Die’

More and more cast members are turning up for KBS2’s new series If You Cheat, You Die. On July 27, Oh Min-suk‘s and Lee Si-eon‘s respective agencies have confirmed the actors’ casting in the said series.

Directed by Kim Hyung-seok (My Golden Life) and penned by Lee Seong-min (Queen of Mystery 1, 2), the upcoming comedy-mystery thriller tells the stories of adults who do bad things and the guilt that comes along with their actions. It centers on a female novelist who is famous for killing the immoral characters in her novels, especially cheating men. Her husband, a divorce lawyer, once wrote a memorandum to his wife called “If You Cheat, You Die.”

Cho Yeo-jeong (Woman of 9.9 Billion), Go Joon (Oh My Baby), and former girl group MOMOLAND member Yeonwoo (Touch) have recently been confirmed as main characters for the series. Cho Yeo-jeong and Go Joon will play the lead couple Kang Yeo-joo, a novelist, and Han Woo-sung, a divorce lawyer. Yeonwoo will be playing Mi Rae, a university student who appears charming and innocent but is hiding her true self deep inside.

Oh Min-suk will be playing the director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Ma Dong-kyun. Oh previously portrayed one of the lead characters in the KBS2 weekend drama Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life (2019–2020), which ended last March.

On the other hand, Lee Si-eon will be portraying veteran detective Jang Sung-cheol, who has impressive investigation skills. But his role shifts to a simple house husband, the complete opposite of his job, whenever he is at home. Lee last starred in Selection: The War Between Women (2019–2020) and most recently, the ongoing drama Men Are Men.

“I am happy to be able to work in this project. I hope the viewers will support and relate to my character well. I will do my best and work hard, so I hope you will follow my character’s journey,” Lee shared.

If You Cheat, You Die is scheduled to premiere this October and will replace Memorials and upcoming drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol in the Wednesday and Thursday time slot.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
