OCN’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama Dark Hole has released its main preview video as a prelude to the series’ survival theme.
Dark Hole is described as a mystery-fantasy thriller set in a city that has a sinkhole, which unleashes a mysterious smoke that turns humans into monsters. The series stars Kim Ok-vin (Arthdal Chronicles) as Lee Hwa-sun, a detective from Seoul who heads to Muji City after receiving a call from her husband’s murderer, and Lee Joon-hyuk (Stranger 2) as Yoo Tae-han, a native of Muji City and a former detective who now works as a tow-truck driver.
The main trailer introduces Hwa-sun and Tae-han, who are among the survivors who must brave their way through the “era of survival” that all begins in Muji City. Hwa-sun, who is looking for the criminal who took away her only family, is the only person who inhaled the smoke but has not changed into a mutant. Tae-han, who will work alongside her to save the people of Muji, is someone who is not afraid of death. In the video, they can be seen trying to fight against the residents whose blood and eyes have turned black and have become indiscriminately violent. The clip also reveals, however, that their battle is not only with the humans who have turned into unsightly beings because of the smoke. They also need to struggle against the selfish people who have given up on their humanity in order to survive.
Dark Hole is slated to premiere on April 24 at 10:30 p.m.
