MBC got another brand new drama today, giving the network with another chance to turn things around into its favor ratings-wise, following the dismal performance of its previous shows. The series is a melodrama, and it has to compete against a thriller (crime procedural) and a romantic comedy.
Data from Nielsen Korea show that Suits and Greasy Melo remained in their positions, leaving COME AND HUG ME no choice but place no. 3. Come and Hug Me‘s first half obtained a nationwide rating of 3.1 percent. This figure is considered low in the industry and increased only to 3.9 % in the second half. It’s not the right time to draw a conclusion but surely the series is not off to a good start.
The numbers above, however, are close to Switch: Change The World’s 5.1 and 5.6 percent and might improve significantly once Switch gets itself out of the competition (it will end tonight). Meanwhile, Suits posted an 8.8 percent viewership, making a 0.9-percent improvement compared to the previous episode
Come and Hug Me airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 pm Korean Standard Time.
