Netflix unveils official trailer for Song Joong-ki’s ‘Vincenzo’

Netflix recently released its official promotional video for tvN’s upcoming black-comedy drama Vincenzo, which stars Song Joong-ki, Jeon Yeo-been, and Ok Taec-yeon in the main roles.

Vincenzo refers to the titular character Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki, Arthdal Chronicles). He was adopted at the age of eight and has since been living and working in Italy as a strategist for the Cassano family. When conflict and betrayal arise within his organization, he flees back to South Korea under the name Park Joo-hyung. In his motherland, he gets entangled in a dangerous legal war against an influential conglomerate. Together with an ace lawyer and a law firm intern, he seeks to bring justice in his own, unusual way.

The trailer opens to snippets of Vincenzo’s life in Italy as he says in the background, “If we were in Italy, you would be compost in a vineyard by now.” Dubbed as “a very dangerous stranger,” the subsequent clips show Vincenzo fighting off men and attempting to adjust to his new life in Korea. The viewers are also introduced to Jang Jun-won (Ok Taec-yeon, The Game: Towards Zero), an awkward yet diligent first-year law firm intern, and his senior Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been, Be Melodramatic), known in the industry as the top lawyer with the devil’s tongue. In a hilarious scene that begins with Cha-young hugging an unamused Vincenzo from what seems to be a detention cell, she declares her suspicions and realizes there must be more than what she knows. The next clips then give a glimpse of Hong Yoo-chan (Yoo Jae-myung, Itaewon Class), a lawyer and Cha-young’s father; Choi Myung-hee (Kim Yeo-jin, Welcome), a former prosecutor hiding a wicked true self, and Jang Han-seo (Kwak Dong-yeon, Never Twice), Babel Group’s sociopathic president. As the video closes, Vincenzo warns, “I’ll get this building back, no matter what. I’ll make all of you pay for what you did.”

Vincenzo will be available for streaming via Netflix beginning February 20, following its broadcast during the same day on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST.
