Nana receives offer to star opposite Choi Jin-hyuk in ‘Justice’

On March 7, sources from the industry reported that Nana has already joined the team of Justice, a revenge drama based on a web novel with the same name by Jang Ho.

In response to the reports, Pledis Entertainment, Nana’s agency, released a statement saying that while it is true that she has received an offer to headline the series, her role in the production is not confirmed yet. In fact, the negotiations between her agency and the drama’s production team have yet to begin, especially since she is in the middle of filming Kill It, an OCN action thriller that is set to premiere on March 23.

Justice revolves around Lee Tae-kyung, a lawyer who has lost his family because of other peoples’ greed and goes on a mission to retaliate against them. Choi Jin-hyuk (The Last Empress) is currently in talks to play Lee Tae-kyung, while Son Hyun-joo (Criminal Minds) is being courted for the role of Song Woo-young, a CEO of a construction company and Lee’s enemy.

Should Nana say yes to Justice, she will portray Seo Yeon-ah, the only daughter of a family of lawyers. Her father, the Public Prosecutor General, inspired her to pursue a similar career. However, she ends up having a bad reputation in the field and her life becomes complicated when she falls in love with Lee Tae-kyung.

Justice is penned by Jung Chan-mi of School 2017 and will be helmed by Jo Woong of the KBS drama special Summer Dream (2016). The series is targeting to premiere in July.
