Rising star Nam Da-reum is confirmed to make a cameo appearance in tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Doom at Your Service, his agency Magiq Entertainment said on April 30.
Nam Da-reum will take on the role of Park Young-eun, a young web novelist hiding under the pseudonym Scion. The second-year high schooler is said to meet with web novel editor Tak Dong-kyung (Park Bo-young, Abyss) and add excitement to the story.
Nam, 18, began his career as a child actor and played young versions of the male protagonists in several hit series such as Boys Over Flowers (2009), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017), and Start-Up (2020). He landed his first lead role in the 2019 family drama Beautiful World where he impressed many viewers with his moving portrayal of a student dealing with school violence. In Doom at Your Service, Nam is expected to showcase his years-worth of acting experience and give a meaningful depiction of his character.
Featuring Seo In-guk (Hundred Million Stars From the Sky) and Park Bo-young as leading pair, Doom at Your Service follows the love story between a man who causes everything he touches to vanish and a woman who is willing to risk her life to avoid her fate. It is slated to premiere on May 10 at 9 p.m. KST, replacing Navillera.
