tvN’s upcoming drama Mouse has released a new set of character stills, this time, of child actor Kim Kang-hoon (Mr. Queen), who plays the younger version of the drama’s central character.
The new Wednesday and Thursday thriller-crime drama follows the hunt for a psychopathic serial killer who threatens the safety of the common people. It stars Lee Seung-gi (Vagabond) as the rookie police officer Jeong Ba-reum and Lee Hee-joon (Mistress) as the lawless detective Go Moo-chi.
In the released stills, Kim, who plays the young Ba-reum, is seen praying alone inside a church. Looking closely, several cuts and bruises can be seen throughout the boy’s face, but it is unclear where and how he got those wounds. At a young age, Ba-reum harbors a dark secret nobody knows, and Kim has transformed well into his character, bringing out his unsettling personality.
Kim Kang-hoon shared, “It is a great honor to be able to act with great and wonderful seniors in the drama Mouse that contains a new and unique atmosphere. I hope you will look forward to the surprise of the first episode of Mouse.”
The production crew also praised the young star for his acting performance, saying, “Kim Kang-hoon’s appearance in the first episode of Mouse is going to draw the viewers’ attention to the story through his deep, immersive acting. Mouse contains a different story that has never been told before, and viewers who are thirsty for a new genre will be drawn to it.”
Mouse will air on tvN starting on March 3 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
