Moon Jeong-hee joins Park Min-young, Seo Kang-joon in upcoming romance drama

On October 24, Moon Jeong-hee confirmed her role in JTBC’s upcoming romance drama I’ll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice starring Park Min-young and Seo Kang-joon.

The new series is a heartwarming romance set in a small town and adapted from a best-selling novel of the same name. Park Min-young (Her Private Life) will play Mok Hae-won, a young cello player with distrustful nature who gets tired of Seoul’s fast-paced life and decides to move back to her hometown. There, she crosses paths with a bookstore owner named Im Eun-seob, who will be portrayed by Seo Kang-joon (Watcher). Eun-seob has a monotonous life consisting of working at his shop, reading, and blogging. His quiet life gets disrupted when he meets Hae-won.

Moon Jeong-hee will be playing the role of popular author Shin Myung-yeo, who has been known to be talented and pretty since she was in college. Myung-yeo has spent her youth writing and traveling around the world. One day, she abruptly quits her nomadic existence to move to a small town in order to look after her niece, Hae-won.

Moon Jeong-hee’s character has been dubbed “iron-walled woman” because she never reveals her true emotions, despite struggling to deal with the shift between her once fast-paced life to the quiet one she’s living at present.

Moon Jeong-hee is appearing in the ongoing SBS drama Vagabond, alongside Suzy and Lee Seung-gi. She’s making waves with her character Jessica Lee, who is an unpredictable and almost maniacal arms lobbyist. Her past dramas include My Sweet Family (2015), Mama (2014), and A Thousand Days’ Promise (2011).

I’ll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice is expected to air in the first half of 2020. It is helmed by PD Han Ji-seong who directed OCN’s Mistress.
