Moon Jeong-hee displays cheerful charm in first stills from OCN’s ‘Search’

Upcoming military drama Search has dropped the first stills of Moon Jeong-hee as she suits up as Kim Da-jung.

Search, OCN’s latest series under the Dramatic Cinema project, centers on a specialized troop assigned to uncover the mysteries happening in the demilitarized zone (DMZ). When the disappearances turn into murder cases and the team finds a dangerous being at their tail, the members are forced to work together and put their skills to use to survive.

Joining Moon as part of the main cast are Jang Dong-yoon (The Tale of Nokdu), Krystal Jung (The Player), Yoon Park (Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life), and Lee Hyun-wook (Strangers from Hell).

The newly released shots feature the bright and cheerful Kim Da-jung (Moon Jeong-hee, When the Weather Is Fine), a reserve member of the special forces and a commentator at the DMZ Memorial Hall who explains the history of the zone in a fun, easy-to-understand manner. But behind the sunny tour guide is a tough former soldier who has a long history of leading an anti-terrorism unit. Given her background, her character is raising anticipation on how she will stay on the fine line between doing her job at the museum and reverting to her past self as an officer, as the strange events in the DMZ play out.

The production crew shared, “Kim Da-jung is friendly and [cares] deeply for other people. She is interested in everything that [is happening] around her. Please look forward to Moon Jeong-hee as she plays her role. With her experience, [Da-jung] will show an unexpected performance to protect her family and her [co-workers] as the crisis in DMZ happens.”

Search will be spearheaded by director Lim Dae-woong and screenwriters Goo Mo and Go Myung-joo. The thrilling tale is slated to take over OCN’s Saturday-Sunday 10:30 p.m. KST airing slot, following the conclusion of the ongoing drama Missing: The Other Side.
