MOMOLAND’s Nayun confirmed to star in new cybercrime-themed web drama ‘The Police’

Nayun’s label, MLD Entertainment, has announced that the K-pop idol and rookie actress has signed up to lead The Police, an upcoming crime-thriller web drama by the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA).

The Police will center on the growth of a cybercrime investigations team as they engage in a fierce battle against high-tech criminals.

Nayun will take on the role of Seo Ah-jin, a seemingly perfect student who is an ace both in physical appearance and academics. With her brilliant mind and inherent sense of justice, Ah-jin becomes an essential part of the cybercrime unit.

Debuting in the industry as one of the seven original members of the world-famous girl group MOMOLAND, Nayun is among those who have also decided to venture into the field of acting. She previously played her first lead role in NAVER V Live’s teen-romance web series Anniversary Anyway (2019) where she starred alongside fellow singers, including PENTAGON’s Hongseok (Best Chicken), UP10TION’s Gyujin, and Minseo.

The Police is set to premiere in the second half of this year via the KNPA’s official YouTube channel.
