MBC Drama Awards 2019: ‘Special Labor Inspector’ actor Kim Dong-wook wins grand prize

Each of the three big networks holds an annual awards ceremony to honor their biggest dramas and actors. In 2019, MBC was the first one to give out the trophies on December 30, followed by SBS and KBS on December 31. For the MBC Drama Awards 2019, Special Labor Inspector emerged as the overall winner of the night with its lead actor Kim Dong-wook and writer Kim Ban-di taking home the Daesang and best writer award, respectively.

MBC aired a total of 17 prime-time Korean dramas in 2019, nine of which received awards during the event. Here’s the complete list of winners:

The MBC Drama Awards 2019 was held at the MBC Media Center and hosted by Han Hye-jin and Kim Sung-joo.
